Our Winter Warmer Project invites you to partake in a heartfelt initiative to build bags and donate blankets that go to abused children. We have 160 kids backpacks to build and 20 Dignity bags for moms. Feel free to knit or crochet blankets, beanies & scarves. Every stitch you make is a pledge of warmth for a child who faces the cold days ahead. Each bag built will go to a child together with a blanket, beanie and scarf.
Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or someone who’s just discovered the joy of crocheting, your contribution can make a significant difference. Not a knitter? Don't worry! Pep has Blankets starting from R79.99
In addition to the KidsCare Bag, we have also launched the Dignity Bag for moms who have left abusive relationships with their children. This bag is filled with essentials to help restore their self-worth and dignity. We believe in supporting these strong moms who have made the right decision to leave and stop the cycle of abuse.
An empty Dignity Bag costs R40 - This goes to buying more bags. Bags can be picked up in Olympus, Pretoria East
KidsCare is proud to have been a part of the successful completion of the Little Minions Day Care Revamp.
We thank Heart of Stella Foundation and Unchain our Children for inviting us to assist. We thank all our sponsors and volunteers who helped make this possible.
In addition to the new school each child received a KidsCare bag, with an extra jacket from Brainy Bunch nursery school and a tracksuit from Social Bee Baby SA. We would also like to thank Jasons Angels for donating 120 bags of Nido Milk. As Mattie Stepanek says: “Unity is strength…when there is team work and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved!” Enjoy some pictures of this special projects. Permission received from parents and school to post pictures.
Children are rescued under terrible & traumatic circumstances with nothing to take with them. A KidsCare bag given to these children shows them that they are loved.
